CodeScene specializes in Software Engineering Intelligence (SEI). In simple terms, we help companies identify and prioritize technical debt, addressing bad code along the way. Our mission is to revolutionize how companies manage and build better software.

This might encompass delving into adjacent realms through research and self-education, spanning areas such as machine learning, code analysis, and parsing techniques. Our distributed team uses a hybrid model, where we work seamlessly from both office space and home setups. It's crucial to possess the comfort level and self-discipline needed to effectively work from home, but also actively participate and enhance our office ambiance. We don’t do any Scrum: no sprints, no time-consuming estimation games, no scrum masters. We try to keep things lean, meaning you will be able to spend most of your time on delivering value. You will never become an administrator at CodeScene, rather you will do what you love to do - focus on technology and develop solutions that you care for.

 

Your role

You'll play a pivotal role in advancing our core product, leading development efforts, and architecting innovative solutions. Your technical leadership will be crucial in maintaining our competitive advantage. You'll collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Product Owners, and teams across Customer Engagement, Sales, and Marketing.

Our backend is primarily developed in Clojure, with the frontend built in JavaScript/TypeScript using React. We utilize AWS for infrastructure. However, the technology itself is secondary—what truly matters is your ability to understand the domain and navigate across technologies effortlessly.

Eligibility

To be eligible for this role, you should be located in a time zone close to our main office in Sweden (CET). We can offer a freelancing contract if you have a valid work permit and a registered entity within the EU. If you hold a work permit in Sweden, France or Bosnia & Herzegovina, we can offer direct employment through CodeScene AB or CodeScene BH d.o.o. Being based near our main office in Malmö, Sweden, would be a bonus.
