CodeScene is seeking an energetic and dynamic Developer Advocate to join our growing team. This role offers a unique opportunity for a talented software developer with at least two years of experience to transition into a customer-facing role, where you will be instrumental in building and nurturing a vibrant developer community around our product.


Responsibilities:

Developer Support:
  • Engage with developers through various channels, including social media, forums, webinars, and developer events, to promote CodeScene's mission and products.
  • Collaborate with the product and engineering teams to provide valuable feedback from the developer community and contribute to the improvement of CodeScene's products.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to developers using CodeScene, helping them maximize the value they derive from our products.
Technical Content Creation: 
  • Create compelling technical content such as blog posts, tutorials, videos, and documentation to educate and inspire developers and technical audiences about CodeScene's capabilities.

Community Engagement:
  • Represent CodeScene at conferences, meetups, and other industry events to network with developers and promote brand awareness.
  • Help build relationships with technical audiences, not to sell the product but to help them solve a problem.
  • Be instrumental in setting up and running CodeScene user groups.

Developer Advocacy Strategy:
  • Provide feedback and assistance to sales and customer success teams to help answer technical questions or produce supporting materials to help with product onboarding and adoption.
  • Provide insights to the marketing team to craft messaging and strategies that align with our community's needs and interests.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of professional experience in software development, with proficiency in at least one programming language, JavaScript or C languages preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Passion for developer advocacy and community engagement, with a desire to empower fellow developers and contribute to the success of the broader developer community.
  • Self-motivated and proactive with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a scale-up team environment.
  • Experience with developer tools, software analytics, or DevOps practices is a plus.
  • Encourage early adoption of Codescene
  • Ability to travel at least once a month
  • Excellent written and spoken communication

Additional Details:

  • This role will report to the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Lydia Nicoll and be a part of the marketing team, collaborating closely with other marketing professionals to drive developer engagement and adoption of CodeScene.
  • The Developer Advocate will also have a strong foot in the product team and will work closely with our Head of UX to help improve the developer experience and ensure that CodeScene meets the needs and expectations of our developer community.
